Strategic Priorities
Cancer Center : Funds support a new cancer center to ensure every person in our community with cancer has access to the best medical care available close to home.
Employee Emergency Fund: Funds support Carilion employees experiencing temporary, unexpected financial hardship.
Patient Care Fund: Funds support necessary, treatment-based support for patients without financial means including medication, equipment and transportation.
Carilion Children's: Funds support Carilion Children's mission and services to ensure every child in our community receives the care they need for a healthy future.
Dr. Robert L.A. Keeley Healing Arts Program: Program addresses the emotional needs of patients and families by integrating literary, performing and visual art experiences in the healing process.
Area of Greatest Need: Funds support immediate needs for equipment, programs and services that otherwise may not be possible.
Patient Care
The Paul N. Bridge Chaplaincy Fund: Funds assist the work of our Chaplains and their programs which are offered to patients, their families and our employees.
Dr. Jeffrey George Cardiac Surgery Fund: Funds, given in memory of Dr. George support lodging, meals and/or travel for cardiac patients and their families.
The Lanto Griffin Fund: Fund provides financial assistance to patients, or their immediate family members, who are undergoing treatment at a Carilion Clinic facility for chronic, life threatening or debilitating illnesses.
Dr. Bruce Long Patient Care Endowment Fund: Funds aid cancer patients under the medical care of Carilion Clinic to reduce hindrances to receiving care.
Ellen Crawford Morgan Transplant Patient Care Endowment: Funds aid transplant patients under the medical care of Carilion Clinic to reduce hindrances to receiving care and ensure their access to needed medical services and support services for those dealing with organ transplantation.
Sunshine Fund: Funds assist Carilion Oncology patients with transportation costs, medication, and other needs during their treatment.
Volunteer and Guest Services - CRMH: Funds support overnight stays for families of CRMH patients and clothing for discharged patients.
Volunteer and Guest Services - CNRV: Funds support overnight stays for families of CNRV patients and clothing for discharged patients.

The Adams Fund: Funds support the charitable purposes of the dental clinic.
Breast Care Center Fund: Funds support equipment and/or patient-care initiatives for the Breast Care Center.
Family and Community Medicine: Funds support equipment and initiatives for the care of everyday health needs.
Gastroenterology: Funds support equipment and initiatives for the treatment of digestive diseases.
Cardiovascular Institute Fund: Funds support equipment and initiatives for the treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
VTC Hand Surgery Fund: Funds support the continuation, promotion and diffusion of knowledge of the science of hand and upper extremity surgery.

Internal Medicine Residents Fund: Funds support the residents of Internal Medicine.
Medicine: Funds support the care of the broad spectrum of illnesses that affect adults.
Obstetrics and Gynecology: Funds support medical expertise and surgical care for women in pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system.
Orthopaedic Endowment Fund: Funds support equipment and initiatives for the treatment of the musculoskeletal system.
Palliative Care: Funds support equipment and medical care that relieves the pain, symptoms and stress caused by serious illness.
The Life Ring Foundation - Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Fund - Funds support the Carilion children's Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Department.
Pharmacy Services: Funds support equipment and initiatives specific to the department.
Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine: Funds support equipment and initiatives that work to diagnose, treat and prevent problems with emotions and behavior.
Radiology: Funds support equipment and initiatives specific to the department.

Adult Structural Heart Educational Fund: Funds support educational opportunities for cardiac residents.
Apel Family Fund for Scholarly Advancement Fund: Funds support scholarly advancement within the Orthopaedic Department.
Dr. Robert Berry Education Fund: Funds, given in honor of Dr. Berry, support educational opportunities for surgical residents.
Dr. J. Randolph and Michelle Clements Endowed Fund: Funds support podiatric initiatives including educational opportunities.
Education and Research Fund: Funds support education and research initiatives at Carilion Clinic. Also includes Nursing Research - please indicate your preference.

Health Focus Scholarship Endowment Fund: Provides scholarships for undergrad and graduate students from Southwestern Virginia studying in the field of health sciences.
Neurosurgery Education Fund: Funds support equipment and initiatives for the diagnosis and surgical treatment of central and peripheral nervous system disorders.
Plastic Surgery Fund: Funds support education and research initiatives for plastic and reconstructive surgery at Carilion Clinic.
Scholarships
Dr. Krishan K. Tayal Endowment Fund: Provides a scholarship for continuing education opportunities for employees of the Dr. Krishan K. Tayal Vascular Laboratory at CNRV.
Julie Cooper Wright Memorial Nursing Scholarship: Set up in memory of Julie Wright, this scholarship is given to a second, third or fourth year BSN student who lives within the Carilion Clinic service area.
