Shoes 4 Hope
Carilion Clinic is once again teaming up with Virginia Tech basketball to host the Shoes 4 Hope event. Patients at Carilion Children's and players from both the men's and women's teams are painting shoes for coaches to wear on the Jan. 13 men’s game against the University of Miami and the Jan. 21 women's game against the Clemson Tigers as part of Coaches vs. Cancer, a nationwide initiative that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. These shoes will be put up for auction to support Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Carilion. All proceeds and donations benefit Carilion Children’s Hematology and Oncology Clinic and local children fighting cancer.
