Carilion Guest and Volunteer Services

By supporting Guest and Volunteer Services, you can help Carilion patients and families experiencing needs during their hospital stay. Among the services we provide are hotel assistance for out-of-town families and clothing for patients whose own clothes were damaged. There are several ways in which you can assist Carilion Guest and Volunteer Services in supporting our patients:

Lights of Love

Each December, we celebrate the holidays with our Lights of Love program. For $10 per honoree, you can symbolically buy a light on our Lights of Love trees in honor or memory of a loved one. This special program has helped hundreds of families in need with a home away from home since 2014. Please list the name of the person you are honoring. For multiple honorees, please list the names and addresses in the box below and separate names with a semi-colon.

Financial Donations

By making a financial contribution to the Guest and Volunteer Services Fund, you are helping to assist patients and their families during times of need. You may make a donation in memory or in honor of someone and we will notify the honoree or their family of your tribute. All donations are fully tax-deductible.

Clothes Closet

The Clothes Closets at Roanoke Memorial and Franklin Memorial hospitals serve adult patients who have inadequate clothing to wear home. In many instances, patients' clothes are cut off during treatment or the patient arrived wearing tattered clothing. Your donations of new and gently used items such as T-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts and underwear help replenish the clothes closet. Financial donations will allow staff to purchase new items.
